Mortality Data & Statistics through 2006
The April 15th, 2009 release of the Cancer Statistics Review (1975-2006), and other statistics on the SEER web site, do not include cancer mortality statistics because the latest mortality file with 2006 deaths from the National Center for Health Statistics, Division of Vital Statistics has not been released. For this reason, the Cancer Statistics Review, Fast Stats, and the Stat Fact Sheets currently do not include mortality statistics. Previous mortality data is still available through CanQues, SEER*Stat, and last year’s Cancer Statistics Review. Cancer mortality statistics will be posted as a later addendum to the Cancer Statistics Review and our other statistical reports and analysis tools when these data become available for use by the National Cancer Institute.
