KeyCite Alert

KeyCite Alert is a tracking service that allows you to monitor the changing status in a case, statute, regulation, or other administrative materials.

One way to set up a KeyCite Alert request would be to enter the citation of the case, statute or regulation in the KeyCite box. At the next screen, click on KC Alert in the gray column on the left. This takes you to the KeyCite Alert Entry Wizard. The wizard takes you through a series of steps where you provide information to create an alert. Some of the choices are limits (jurisdiction, depth of treatment, etc.), the frequency your citation should be checked (daily, weekly, monthly, etc.), the start date, and the delivery method (printer, fax, e-mail, etc.).

Once you create an alert, the service will automatically monitor the citation and send you updates when the KeyCite results change. You can make changes or delete the alert at any time. If you select KeyCite from the menu bar on the first page, then select KeyCite Alert from the gray column on the left, all the alerts you have created will be displayed. To make changes, click on the number of the alert that you want to change. You can also set up alerts on this page by selecting either "Create Entry" or "Entry Wizard."

If you need assistance with your entry, call the West Group Reference Attorneys at 1-800-733-2889 or call the Wirtz Labor Law Library at 202-693-6613.
