Emergency Management in the Pacific Rim Region

From time to time, the Pacific Rim Region may be impacted by natural disasters or national emergencies. GSA is responsible for opening and closing federal buildings and leased locations where federal agencies are located.

In addition, GSA provides the Federal Executive Boards within the Pacific Rim Region with on-going building status reports and actively participates in communications planning to ensure coordinated media information in the event of an emergency. GSA officials can login to the GSA Public Buildings Service Pacific Rim Region Citrix Server for access to information that will facilitate this activity.

In the event of an emergency, federal employees should follow their own agency's emergency procedures and monitor media announcements to obtain disaster or emergency-related information. GSA will publish emergency information to www.gsa.gov/emergency when necessary.

Agencies occupying GSA owned and leased buildings are reminded to coordinate their alternate work site designation and point of contact information with the Regional Emergency Preparedness Coordinator, using the contact information provided on the upper right.
