Electronic Screening Participation

This map shows which states participate in one of the nationwide e-screening enrollment programs: PrePass or NORPASS, or a state-operated program.

States Exchanging Credential Data with SAFER

Vehicle registration data is needed in SAFER to support roadside screening, whether manual or electronic. Uploading credential data to SAFER should be each state's urgent priority. This map shows which states are currently uploading registration data to SAFER and indicates the plans of states that are not currently uploading.

States that Have Implemented E-Credentialing

A requirement of Core CVISN is deployment of automated electronic processing via Web-based or computer-to-computer solutions from carrier to state of at least International Registration Plan (IRP) and International Fuel Tax Agreement (IFTA) credentials. Alaska and Hawaii are exempt from this requirement. This map shows which states have completed this requirement.
