Local Telecommunication Services

Federal agencies searching for a wide range of voice and digital local services at substantial cost savings can count on GSA's Greater Southwest Region's Local Services Acquisition (LSA) contracts. Agencies are offered:

• single analog lines; Centrex lines; Basic Rate Interface (BRI); Primary Rate Interface (PRI); T1; and DS3 (through LSA).
• Basic service features: call options for forwarding, hold, pick-up, and transfer, as well as three-way conferencing and hunting.
• Internet services: dial-up Internet access; Digital Subscriber Line (DSL) Internet access; dedicated Internet access; and high bit rate DSL (dependent on locally available technology, but may be available in many locations).

FOR FULL SERVICE ORDERS — GSA will:

• Process request from the customer agency;
• Prepare and issue the order to vendor;
• Maintain an inventory in the Telecommunications Ordering & Pricing System (TOPS);
• Issue the invoice to the customer agency; and
• Receive the invoice payment.

FOR DIRECT ORDER/DIRECT BILL — The customer agency will:

• Contact the GSA Contracting Officer to request direct order authority as an Agency Designated Representative (ADR);
• Submit the order to the vendor; and
• Receive and process payment of the invoice issued by the vendor.
