Utility that delivers water to Montgomery and Prince George's severely cut back on inspections of its largest concrete pipes and failed to spend all the money it had to replace parts of its antiquated system, its records show.


A Prince George's County man was sentenced to 12 years in prison today for hijacking a fuel-filled tanker truck in Baltimore in 2007 and attempting to sell its contents -- 7,000 gallons of heating oil.
