SEAC's Division of Archeological Collections and Information Management (ACIM) provides the following services:
- Manages park museum collections (conservation, preservation, storage, and security).
- Maintains accession and cataloging information for parks.
- Manages the backlog cataloging program for park archeological collections.
- Maintains the park and regional portion of the servicewide ANCS+ (Automated National Catalog System) database for archeological collections.
- Provides summaries and inventories and coordinates cultural affiliation studies and consultations with American Indian tribes for parks in compliance with the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA).
Facilities
In 13,400 square
feet of space, the Innovation Park facility houses administrative and staff offices;
archives; a library; a conference room; artifact processing and analyses laboratories; conservation laboratory,
collection storage; and drafting, report preparation, and storage areas.
Research Resources
- Libraries: These include the Center's library, the state of Florida library, the Strozier Library (FSU), and the Florida A&M University library. The Center has interlibrary loan privileges with the above.
- Cooperative Agreements are in place with Florida State University, the University of Georgia, and the University of West Florida to conduct special analyses, museum cataloging, and other activities.
- Center Archives contain records of investigations from 60 parks in the Southeast Regional Office.
- Collections: Over eight million objects and archival documents comprise the Center's collection.
- Maps: Hundreds of USGS quadrangle and other project maps have been generated by investigations.
Technical Assistance
SEAC/ACIM employees participate in numerous NPS assistance roles, including leading
and participating in Collection Management Plan, and Collection Storage Plan formulation
teams, assisting park units with museum inventories and annual reports, providing photographs and collections documentation to scholars and the general public, 
identifying and dating
artifacts recovered from parks, and performing limited research into accessions for parks, researchers, legislators,
and the general public. SEAC maintains a list of suppiers of NPS/SEAC standard archeological curatorial supplies,
including polyethylene bags and boxes, acid-free box inserts, and a range of other packing and storage supplies.
ACIM staff members also have special expertise in the NPS standard ANCS+ database software.
