The Young Professionals of the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation are determined to make a difference in the lives of children. This dynamic group of emerging leaders provides the Foundation with unique outreach and support by planning hip fundraising events. Young Professionals' (YP) activities offer fundraising opportunities for young altruists who often have more energy than income and are eager to put their creativity to use on behalf of children worldwide.

And the Young Professionals have delivered! The YP group in Los Angeles organized the "Celebrity Dodgeball” event, which took place at the Hollywood Paladium and drew nearly 1,000 Angelenos. Ben Stiller and Christine Taylor hosted this special competition, in which top young celebrities — including Ice Cube, Brendan Fraser, and Alyson Hannigan — hurled rubber balls at each other for a good cause. The YP group raffled off great prizes and sent each guest away with a gift bag full of goodies. The event yielded over $80,000 to support the Foundation's lifesaving programs.

Celebrity Dodgeball was just one example of the many ways in which Young Professionals can help the Foundation and have fun in the process. There are many more events to plan, nights-out to enjoy, new friends to meet, and funds to raise. If you want to use your skills, talents, and contacts on behalf of children with HIV/AIDS and other serious childhood diseases, please fill out this PDF application for the Young Professionals Committee and email it to ejacobson@pedaids.org.

If you are interested in starting a Young Professionals group in your area to raise money for the Foundation, please contact Emily Jacobson in our Washington, D.C., office at ejacobson@pedaids.org or 202-448-8404. Support a noble cause and have a great time doing it!
