Pyne's Ground Plum

Stones River National Battlefield contains a unique habitat found only in middle Tennessee. Cedar glades with shallow soil and harsh conditions are home to twelve specially adapted plant species including the endangered Tennessee coneflower and Pyne’s ground plum.

Stones River National Battlefield employees monitor the health of the glades and work to improve and protect these unique habitats.
