PACE
The Patient-centered Assessment and Counseling for Exercise and Nutrition project offers one approach to brief physical activity and nutrition counseling using materials developed by a team of researchers at San Diego State University.

AARP Be Active for Life
The American Association of Retired Persons and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation co-sponsor the "Be Active for Life" program to promote physical activity among seniors. The Web site has links to a number of active aging resources.

CDC Division of Adolescent and School Health
Find guidelines and promising practices to promote physical activity among youth in schools and communities, a self-assessment and planning tool for schools (the School Health Index), and more.

CDC Division of Nutrition and Physical Activity

Cooper Institute

JumpSTART Program

National Coalition for Promoting Physical Activity

National Association for Health and Fitness
Supports state and governors' councils on physical fitness and sports and sponsors National Employee Health and Fitness (the largest worksite fitness event in the U.S.) and Make Your Move (a worksite health promotion campaign).
