The National Library of Medicine's Division of Specialized Information Services (http://sis.nlm.nih.gov) will feature its toxicology and environmental health resources at the upcoming 55th National Science Teachers Association (NSTA) Conference on Science Education, March 29 - April 1, 2007. The theme of the St. Louis conference is Science: A River of Connections. http://www.nsta.org/conferences Please stop by the NLM booth (#1467) for information about and demonstrations of resources such as TOXNET (databases on hazardous chemicals, environmental health, and toxic releases), the Hazardous Substances Data Bank (HSDB- comprehensive, peer-reviewed toxicological data for over 5000 chemicals), and a meta-search engine that enables simultaneous searching of diverse biomedical and environmental health resources. NLM has created a flyer, http://toxtown.nlm.nih.gov/resources/Earth%20Day%20Flier.pdf, for this meeting. You may also find it useful for other NLM/NIH promotional activities. The flyer is a companion to the recently updated flyer on "Resources for Science Teachers" at http://toxtown.nlm.nih.gov/resources/resources_science_teachers.pdf.
The meeting will be held at: 701 Convention Plaza St. Louis, MO 63101
We look forward to seeing you there!
