Academy Continues to
Offer Free Skin Cancer Screenings
You may have noticed the news about a study that looked at the
value of skin cancer exams. To help ease any confusion about this
study, the President of the American Academy of Dermatology
(Academy), dermatologist C. William Hanke, M.D., spoke out. Dr.
Hanke said:
“The Academy continues
to be committed to its Skin Cancer Screening Program, which to
date has screened 1.9 million individuals and resulted in the
detection of more than 180,000 suspicious lesions, including
more than 21,500 melanomas.”
