Idaho Americorps Accessible Transportation Network Project

Transportation barriers exist in every geographical area throughout the state for people with disabilities.  The Idaho Accessible Transportation Network, funded with a three-year Americorps grant, will support 23 Americorps members, most of whom have disabilities. They will work to increase accessible and affordable transportation options throughout the State for Idahoans with disabilities. The desired outcome for this grant is 22 new transportation options for people with disabilities implemented across Idaho.

Members are housed at host sites through the Idaho Centers for Independent Living and the Idaho Commission for the Blind and Visually Impaired. The host sites are located in Caldwell, Boise, Twin Falls, Lewiston, Moscow, CDA, Pocatello, Burley, Blackfoot and Idaho Falls.
