George Wright was named vice president of Information Technology Operations in February 2008. He reports to the executive vice president and chief information officer. He is responsible for the day-to-day management and operation of the Postal Service's information-technology infrastructure, which supports operations, sales/marketing, finance and administration.
A 25-year Postal Service employee, Wright has served as acting vice president and chief technology officer. He also has served as manager of Enterprise Architecture and Standards and as manager of Corporate IT Portfolios.
Wright holds an MBA from Maryland University, where he also completed his undergraduate work.
