Deborah Giannoni-Jackson

Deborah Giannoni-Jackson was named Vice President, Employee Resource Management in February 2006, reporting to the Chief Human Resources Officer and Executive Vice President. Her duties cover talent acquisition and retention, personnel services, selection, safety, and health and medical programs. Employee Resource Management is also responsible for Human Resources Shared Services; organizational design and workforce effectiveness; the Postal Service's award-winning environmental program; and its Ergonomics and Risk Reduction program.

Giannoni-Jackson was formerly vice president, Human Resources of the world’s third-largest grocery retailer, Royal Ahold, the parent company of Giant Food stores and Bruno’s Supermarkets. Giannoni-Jackson’s extensive operations and human resources background covers a full range of business systems, labor relations and employee activities. She has managed organizational structure and design functions; recruiting and staffing policies and programs; and restructuring and organizational alignments, including the effect which mergers and acquisitions have on permanent employees. She also has managed leadership development, succession planning and diversity programs. She was responsible for the creation and launch of a field human resources organization and managed all personnel aspects of a major restructuring and merger of two companies, which included migration to a shared services environment.

Giannoni-Jackson earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from the State University of New York and a Master of Arts degree in counseling from the University of Virginia.
