The National Animal Disease Center (NADC) is part of USDA's Agriculture Research Service (ARS).  NADC has positions in a variety of scientific disciplines including: biochemistry, immunology, physiology, virology, bacteriology, pathology, molecular biology, and veterinary medicine. There are also jobs in a variety of other areas including: animal care, facilities, budget, travel, human resources, procurement, secretarial, visual services, computer services, and library.

NADC actively employs students through the school year. Employment of students is governed by research project needs and available funding. The USDA’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service’s (APHIS) National Veterinary Lab Services and the Center for Veterinary Biologics are collocated with the National Animal Disease Center.
