[Federal Register: March 19, 1999 (Volume 64, Number 53)] [Notices] [Page 13610] From the Federal Register Online via GPO Access [wais.access.gpo.gov] [DOCID:fr19mr99-120] ----------------------------------------------------------------------- NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION [Docket Nos. 50-361 and 50-362] Southern California Edison Company; Notice of Withdrawal of Application for Amendments to Facility Operating Licenses The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (the Commission) has granted the request of Southern California Edison Company, et al. (the licensee) to withdraw its December 30, 1992, application for proposed amendments to Facility Operating License Nos. NPF-10 and NPF-15 for the San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station, Unit Nos. 2 and 3, located in San Diego County, California. The December 30, 1992, proposed change would have modified Technical Specification 3.3.3.1 to increase the required number of plant vent stack wide range noble gas radiation monitors from 1 to 2. The Commission had previously issued a Notice of Consideration of Issuance of Amendments published in the Federal Register on March 3, 1993 (58 FR 12268). However, by letter dated April 27, 1995, the licensee withdrew the amendments request indicating that it had been superseded by the technical specification improvement program application dated December 30, 1993. For further details with respect to this action, see the application for amendments dated December 30, 1992, and the licensee's letter dated April 27, 1995, which withdrew the application for license amendments. The above documents are available for public inspection at the Commission's Public Document Room, the Gelman Building, 2120 L Street, NW., Washington, DC, and at the local public document room located at the Main Library, University of California, P.O. Box 19557, Irvine, California 92713. Dated at Rockville, Maryland, this 15th day of March 1999. For the Nuclear Regulatory Commission. James W.
