Sitka National Historical Park offers education and outreach programs for students of all ages. Park staff can schedule curriculum-based programs focusing on any of the park’s resources including: temperate rainforest science, beach exploration, Russian American history, southeast Alaska Native culture and art, careers in the National Park Service, and many others. A variety of programs can be tailored for any group, including multi-age home-school students.

Did You Know?
The Battle of 1804 marked the beginning of Russian governance in Alaska. All that remains of this last major conflict between Europeans and Alaska Natives is a clearing at the site of the Tlingit fort and battlefield.
