The Law Library in the National office has an extensive microform
collection. For example, we have:
- Complete collection of CFR's from their first issuance in 1939
- Federal Register, from 1936
Congressional Record,
from 1873 Statutes at Large, from 1874
- Historic U.S. & foreign trade-specific publications from the
early 1900's
- Historic U.S. & foreign labor periodicals from the early 1900's
- Collection of papers of prominent labor leaders: Terence Powderly,
John Mitchell, Eugene Debbs, John W. Hayes, Samuel Gompers
- Regional reporters First series: Atlantic, NorthWestern, and
SouthEastern
- The Sears Christmas Catalog, often used as a barometer of the
economy, starting in 1888
