LexisONE <http://www.lexisone.com/index.html> is an online legal information service that offers both free and proprietary resources. Below are highlights of some of the free resources.

  • Free Case Law <http://www.lexisone.com/lx1/caselaw/freecaselaw>: Search the last five years of State & Federal Courts and the U.S. Supreme Court from 1790 to present, with some limitations in coverage <http://www.lexisone.com/freecaselaw/coverage.html>. Users may search for cases by keyword or by citation. You must choose a State Court or a Federal Court, and you have the option of limiting the search by date range, parties, judges, and counsel. While you cannot link to the full-text of the cases from the search results page free of charge, you can see citations for the cases that meet your search criteria.
