Dedication Of Diverse Workforce Applauded

Deputy Administrator Robert Jamison spoke at a Town Hall meeting celebrating National Hispanic Heritage Month on Wednesday.  Deputy Assistant Secretary Robert Jamison spoke at a Town Hall meeting celebrating National Hispanic Heritage Month on Wednesday.  The theme of this year’s celebration is “Hispanic Americans: Our Rich Culture Contributing to America’s Future.” 

“We are proud to support TSA’s celebration of Hispanic Heritage month because we highly value the hard work and dedication put forward by our diverse workforce,” Jamison said. “TSA will continue to make great strides in having our workforce mirror the face of America.”

Following Mr. Jamison’s remarks was a keynote speech by TSA Central Area Director Leopoldo Vasquez who said Hispanics are “revamping almost every aspect of American life.”

According to the Census Bureau, more than 42 million people in the United States are of Hispanic origin, constituting roughly 14 percent of the nation’s total population.
