Assistant Federal Security Director-Inspection Andrew C. Johnson of Mobile, Ala., was awarded the Bronze Star after recently returning from a year-long deployment to Iraq. There, he served as a platoon sergeant with the 155th Brigade Combat Team and led numerous convoy escort missions, counter-insurgency patrols, raids and presence patrols.

A staff sergeant in the Mississippi National Guard, Johnson and his troops were also responsible for providing personal security to the brigade commander, a brigadier general.
