The Field Training
Unit conducts emergency
management training for individuals in state and local government or the private
sector, who have responsibilities related to emergency management.
These state-of-the-art training programs assist the public and private sector in their ability to mitigate, plan for, respond to, and recover from natural and man-made emergencies. All training is consistent with federal initiatives, and is designed to create a comprehensive and integrated system addressing all hazards at the county, local and state levels.
Nearly 30 different courses are presented in the adult learning format by teams of skilled instructors. The contributions of the instructors, combined with interaction by the students, will develop each student’s emergency management skills and help them excel in service to their communities.
