OFFICE OF ADMINISTRATIVE LAW JUDGES

DATE: February 4, 1998
CASE NO: 98-DCA-1
In the Matter of:
JAMES STARNATER Petitioner
v.
U.S. DEPARTMENT OF LABOR,
OFFICE OF WORKERS'
COMPENSATION PROGRAMS,
Respondent
NOTICE
On December 8, 1997, I issued an order dismissing the above-captioned
case. However, on December 30, 1997, this Office received a letter from Petitioner pointing out
that the Order of Dismissal erroneously named the Petitioner as "John Starnater." In
fact, Petitioner's name is "James Starnater." As this was a clerical error, the
undersigned apologizes for the confusion.
Further, Petitioner requested a response with respect to questions he
presented in a November 24, 1997 letter to this Office. As I am not at liberty to advise on
substantive legal issues, I must refrain from doing so in this matter. Petitioner's contentions,
however, do appear to be correct. Likewise, Petitioner may find answers to his inquiries and
other useful information on the Office of Administrative Law Judge's internet page located at
http://www.oalj.gov.com.
