Mass Transit Vulnerability Identification Self Assessment Tool

Risk Assessment Tools

The Department of Homeland Security has developed this module of the Vulnerability Identification Self-Assessment Risk Tool (VISAT) to assist Transit systems in assessing the security vulnerabilities of rail passenger stations. This tool has been developed with the guidance and cooperation of the American Public Transportation (APTA), and the Federal Transit Administration.  Although these are general security questions within the assessment, it is specifically designed to evaluate vulnerability and to propose possible threats to passenger rail stations.
