2001 Technical Assistance Grant Awardees
More than $2.6 million has been awarded to two
grantees to (1) provide technical assistance support to Workforce Investment
Act (WIA) One-Stop Career Centers, state and local Workforce Investment Boards
and other key leaders that oversee and operate adult oriented programs in order
to enable them to increase employment outcomes for people with disabilities,
and (2) deliver technical assistance in order to build the capacity of the
emerging and existing WIA-assisted and other youth programs to provide
comprehensive services to young people with disabilities. Each grant is awarded
for a one-year period, with four option years, subject to the availability of
funds.
