USAID Information Dissemination, Information Inventories, Priorities and Schedules

Section 207(f)(2) of the E-Government Act of 2002 requires all federal agencies to develop an inventory of information to be published on their websites, establish a schedule for publishing information, make those schedules available for public comment, and post the schedules and priorities on the website.

USAID has a long-standing policy to put as much information as possible and practical on its website. We update our web pages practically every day, as materials are produced and released by USAID subject matter experts. We daily post a listing of these updates - linked from our front page - here as well as maintaining an archival listing of updates dating back to December, 2002.

However, USAID continues to review USAID materials and our web managers surveyed the Information Officers throughout Agency who routinely respond to questions via phone and email, asking them to list any frequently requested information that is not available on USAID's website. We plan on continuing that review approximately 6 times a year. Based on these reviews, we update our Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) pages or assure that appropriate materials are prepared for publication on the USAID web site.

When new information becomes available at USAID that is important to the public, we are committed to putting it on our website as quickly as practicable. If you have suggestions for additional information we should have on USAID's website, please let us know by submitting your request here. We encourage your feedback.

In addition to disseminating information through its own website, USAID and its partners maintain many websites (pdf) dedicated to disseminating USAID mission-related information to communities of practice, communities of interest, NGOs, and the general public.
