How to Dispose of Federal Real Property

It is the policy of the Administrator of General Services that excess real property be assessed and reported to minimize expenditures for the purchase of real property. It aids executive agencies with the process of reporting the property. It also assists the federal agencies with gathering information concerning the utilization of the property.

The policy covers property located in the Fifty States, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, American Samoa, Guam, the Trust Territory of the Pacific Islands, and the Virgin Islands.
