DCR’s Universal Access Program Selected by Macy’s

DCR’s Universal Access Program has been chosen as the beneficiary of Macy’s generosity through their Turn Over a New Leaf program.  Under Macy’s program, designed to heighten environmental awareness and inspire interest in park protection and preservation, five dollar donations were accepted until April 25 at all twenty four Macy’s Massachusetts stores. The donations will support the National Park Foundation and the DCR’s Universal Access Program.

To expand the public awareness of our agency and its mission, DCR staff led an activity at Macy’s Downtown Crossing (Boston) location on Earth Day, April 22 from 2 to 4 p.m. and at

Macy’s Braintree, Burlington, Holyoke, and Natick store locations on April 25 from 2 to 4 p.m.

We appreciate Macy’s support of the Universal Access program.  The funds will enable DCR to enhance the outdoor recreation opportunities in Massachusetts for people of all abilities.
