Recovery Act "Perfect Storm" resources
The National Trust for Historic Preservation, working closely with NCSHPO, has launched an iniative to address what they are calling "The Perfect Storm:" New stimulus dollars intended for "shovel-ready" projects hitting the ground at the exact same moment when state governments are responding to widespread budget deficits and dreary bottom lines by slashing (or completely turning off) funding for historic preservation programs.

The National Conference of State Historic Preservation Officers (NCSHPO) is the professional association of the State government officials who carry out the national historic preservation program as delegates of the Secretary of the Interior pursuant to the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966, as amended (16 USC 470).
