Salt Lake Field Office is currently experiencing an increase in its energy-related work. There is interest in western edge of the Overthrust Belt in Rich and Summit Counties and in the western edges of the oil and gas fields of the Unita Basin in Wasatch and Utah Counties.  There has been an increased demand in leasing, applications for permits to drill (APDs), rights-of-way, leasing, and environmental documentation.  The Salt Lake Field Office is currently experiencing a significant increase in oil and gas leasing and exploration.
