As part of a partnership effort between the Cedar City Field Office Bureau of Land Management, the Dixie National Forest, Southern Utah University, Cedar Breaks National Monument, Iron County and the Cedar City Parks and Recreation Department this event is geared toward families and centered in exposing children to the diversity of recreational opportunities on public lands.

This event allows children and family to get out and experience nature first hand and learn about some of aspects of outdoor recreation available right in resident's own backyards. "Its important for them to get a tactile experience, to come out and feel the wind on their faces and get on a bike or hike a trail and feel the rocks and smell the sage brush and clean air," said Roche.

The event offers something for everyone--for every ability level and every interest.
