Karen BakerKaren Baker

Responsibilities: Ms. Baker oversees bureau-level policy, program development and direction, and implementation of policies and strategic and operational plans related to business information and administrative systems.

Career History and Highlights: Prior to her current role, Ms. Baker was the Deputy Chief Financial Officer at the USGS, beginning in 2003, after having served as Finance Officer at the Department of the Interior's Office of the Secretary and at the Minerals Management Service. From 1996 to 1997, she was Systems Branch Chief of the USGS's Office of Accounting and Financial Management. She has served in the Federal government for more than 25 years.

Education: Ms. Baker received her bachelor's degree in business administration, with a concentration in accounting and economics, from Fairmont State College in West Virginia and is a graduate of DOI's Senior Executive Service Candidate Development Program.
