Dozens died in U.S. airstrikes, official says

Up to 50 people were killed this week in U.S. airstrikes on buildings in an Afghan area frequented by insurgents, a senior U.S. military official said. However, Afghan President Hamid Karzai said the toll was higher, telling CNN that more than 100 people were killed. "The airstrikes are not acceptable," Karzai said. full story
