MONDAY, April 20 (HealthDay News) -- White women and black women in the United States share certain breast cancer risk factors but appear to have distinctive risk factors as well, a new study shows. Researchers conducting on ongoing study have so far enrolled 1,826 white and 360 black women with breast cancer, and 1,766 healthy white and 240 healthy black women. The initial data shows that lack of physical activity and being overweight or obese are associated with a 20 percent increased risk of breast cancer in both groups of women.
