Former representative of Iraq to the United States and founder and executive director of the Iraq Foundation Rend al Rahim’s project focuses on creating and managing an Iraqi Forum for National Dialogue (IFND). This forum will serve as a neutral space inside Iraq to sustain and expand the national dialogue initiated by the International Institute for Sustained Dialogue (IISD) and the Helsinki process.
In addition to her work for the Iraq Foundation, al Rahim teaches at the American University of Beirut. Previously she has worked for the American Investment Company, Banque Arabe et Internationale d’Investissement in Bahrain and Chemical Bank in Beirut and London.
Al Rahim holds a B.A. from Cambridge University and a Maitrise en Lettres from the Sorbonne.
