The Smithsonian Institution will be opening its new maritime transportation exhibit on Maritime Day, and the opening ceremony will be combined with the Maritime Administration's observance, and that of Military Sealift Command. The ceremony begins at 9 am in the Flag Hall of the National Museum of American History, 14th and Constitution, NW, in Washington, DC. Secretary of Transportation Ray LaHood has been invited as the keynote speaker.
