Center for Restorative and Regenerative Medicine

The Center for Restorative and Regenerative Medicine is a Rehabilitation Research and Development program which will look at creating bio-hybrid limbs that have a greater range of motion and function than currently available prostheses.  This is a collaborative multi-disciplinary effort between the Providence VA Medical Center, Brown University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Target Research Enhancement Program (TREP)

The Target Research Enhancement Program (TREP) Health Services Research and Development program's goal is to create a core program of investigators, social scientists and statisticians to facilitate career development and initiate Health Services Outcome research projects at the Providence VA Medical Center.  This TREP would merge the domains of expertise at the VA and Brown University to develop, implement and evaluate multidisciplinary interventions and integrated service delivery systems to address the effects of psychosocial and behavioral factors on chronic disease and disability.

Vascular Research Laboratory

Vascular Research Laboratory at Providence VA Medical Center is home to investigators that share a common interest in endothelial and vascular smooth muscle biology as it relates to pulmonary and cardiac diseases.  As a community of basic science researchers and clinicians, we share the common vision of translating our research from bench to bedside.  More information on the web at http://www.brown.edu/vrl.
