Office of Civil Rights and Liberties
Following the best practices of our fellow agencies, we established an alternative dispute resolution program called the Alternative Resolution to Conflict Process, or ARC, for persons participating in the equal employment opportunity complaint process.
ARC provides alternative dispute resolution for employees, former employees, or applicants for employment who believe have been subjected to unlawful discrimination, harassment, or retaliation. Parties participating in the ARC process discuss concerns and explore options for resolution.
If a TSA employee, former employee, or applicant for employment believes that he or she was subjected to unlawful discrimination or harassment, he or she should contact the Office of Civil Rights and Liberties. An Equal Employment Opportunity Specialist will explain the ARC process and how a TSA employee may participate in the ARC process.
EEO laws require that persons wishing to file an EEO complaint contact the Office of Civil Rights and Liberties within 45 days of the alleged discriminatory act or incident. Persons may lose their right to file a complaint if they do not contact the Office of Civil Rights and Liberties within 45 days of the alleged discriminatory act.
