Water Quality Guidance for the Great Lakes System To Prohibit Mixing Zones for Bioaccumulative Chemicals of Concern
EPA is taking final action to ban the use of mixing zones that dilute toxic chemicals discharged into the Great Lakes system. This action prohibits new discharges of toxic chemicals into mixing zones and phases out the use of existing mixing zones in the Great Lakes over the next ten years.
