Stakeholder Liaison

Duties and Responsibilities:  The incumbent serves as a Stakeholder Liaison for the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) at a small/seasonal sized US airport.  As such he/she serves as liaison for the FSD with various stakeholders concerned with aviation security policy.  Works closely with the FSD to coordinate, implement and maintain an effective program to communicate to stakeholders the TSA’s policies, programs and directives. Identifies and recommends responds to stakeholders questions, problems and concerns regarding security.  Implements changes as directed to improve communications with stakeholders.  As the principal TSA interface for communicating TSA directives to stakeholders, the incumbent will work to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of aviation security policies.

Key Skills

• Knowledge of security program operations, aviation security issues, contingency planning, and Federal regulations governing the aviation industry.
• Knowledge of communication principles, methods, practices, and techniques in order to coordinate, and implement, a national stakeholder information and liaison program.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of audiences which may include government and industry executives, the media, special interest groups, and the general public to provide information about complex  and potentially controversial and sensitive issues.
• Ability to promote a diverse workforce and lead others, including encouraging excellence in work, improving employee performance and promoting EEO, human relations, and employee participation
