Abstract Bill introduced to amend the Magnuson-Stevens Fishery Conservation and Management Act to protect diverse and structually complex areas of the seafloor in the United States Exclusive Economic Zone by establishing a maximum diameter size limit on rockhopper, roller, and all other groundgear used on bottom trawls, and for other purposes. Introduced on April 9, 2003 ; referred to House Subcommittee on Fisheries Conservation, Wildlife and Oceans ; requested executive comment from Dept. of Commerce.
