Circular Letter No. 618July 19, 2006 TO: Printing and Publishing Officials of the Federal Government SUBJECT: Rider Orders for the United States Government Manual, 2006/07 edition, revised June 1, 2006. The purpose of this Circular Letter is to notify you that on July 10, 2006,GPO's Rapid Response Center (RRC) will be closed and all agency work will have been transferred to the Agency Strategic Teams (ASTs). The RRC has experienced a steadily declining workload over the past several years. Therefore, the decision to close it is part of a carefully planned strategy to stem the financial losses resulting from this decline. While we expect that the majority of agency work will be directed to the AST indicated in each case below, GPO will work closely with agencies to ensure the flexibility needed to meet their requirements. In the near future, a GPO representative will contact agency customers to discuss their specific work requirements.
