About CTUG

Purpose

CTUG provides a forum for the Volpe community to discuss the requisite tools and knowledge base which have been and continue to be developed in support of the Volpe Center's integrated system approaches to critical intermodal transportation and logistics issues.

At A Glance

Our audience is comprised of staff members from a variety of areas in the Volpe community. CTUG speakers represent academia, Volpe colleagues, other DOT colleagues, and the private sector.

CTUG topic areas have included voice recognition, training techniques, training media, groupware technology, multimedia technology, TQM, business process re-engineering, application of genetic algorithms, World Wide Web, FAA simulation efforts, environmental risk assessment, document management systems, virtual reality in air traffic control, distance learning, Avian Flu Pandemic Series, and many more. Volpe Center institutional topics are also covered. Please see our Events Archive section for details of past presentations.

Our meetings are monthly, informal, lunch-time gatherings.

Who Can Attend

Any Volpe Center community member can attend, unless otherwise indicated. Other federal government employees are welcome, but must first notify Olive Lesueur at Olive.Lesueur@dot.gov or 617/494-2541.
