As PHMSA's Associate Administrator for Governmental, International and Public Affairs, responsibilities include:
- Serving as PHMSA's official spokesperson in communications with the media, Congress, State/local elected officials, public and private stakeholders and others.
- Interacting with members of Congress, Congressional staff and other governmental representatives to promote agency policies, programs, strategies and activities.
- Monitoring legislation impacting pipeline and hazardous materials transportation safety and security.
