Kanab Field Office Resource Management Plan (Approved RMP)

The Kanab Field Office is responsible for land use planning efforts on approximately 600,000 acres of public land in south central Utah. The planning area also includes an additional 40,500 acres of public land that falls within the old Escalante Planning Unit. These public lands, although managed by the Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument (GSENM), will be included in the development of the Kanab Resource Management Plant (RMP).

In addition to the current RMP effort, other environmental documents are developed by the Field Office under the guidance of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA).

The Environmental Notification Bulletin Board (ENBB) is a searchable list of proposals under consideration by the Utah Bureau of Land Management (BLM) that provides a brief description of proposed actions and identifies potentially affected or involved resources or values that are of interest to the public.

Information on proposals under consideration by the Kanab Field Office can be found on the Environmental Document Bulletin Board (ENBB). For information on how to search the ENBB click here.
