Subject: Resource Update: Tox Town, MEDLINEplus

Tox Town (http://toxtown.nlm.nih.gov/) is a free, web-based resource of "non-technical" information about commonly encountered toxic substances, your health, and the environment. Tox Town now has a City scene. From the home page, users have a choice of going to the Town or to the City to learn about toxic chemicals and environmental health. The City scene highlights environmental health concerns in several new locations: airplanes, brownfields, construction sites, areas near electromagnetic fields, and a hospital with a cut-away view. It also repeats the chemical information and locations found in the Town scene. Clip art and publicity materials for Tox Town, suitable for web sites or newsletters, are available at http://toxtown.nlm.nih.gov/clipart.html . For information about this and other databases from NLM's Division of Specialized Information Services, please contact: [log in to unmask] MEDLINEplus topics There are several new MEDLINEplus topics that may interest those concerned about environmental health: Monkeypox Virus Infections http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/monkeypoxvirusinfections.html Hantavirus Infections http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/hantavirusinfections.html Pfiesteria Infections http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/pfiesteriainfections.html (MEDLINEplus en espaƱol) Pfiesteria http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/spanish/pfiesteriainfections.html Monkeypox http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/spanish/monkeypoxvirusinfections.html Hantavirus http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/spanish/hantavirusinfections.html
