Weight Management    

Physical activity, good nutrition, and maintaining a healthy weight are keys to a healthy lifestyle.  Find resources for physical activity and to help you manage your weight.


High Blood Pressure / Stroke -  1 in 3 Americans adults have high blood pressure.  More than 1 in 4 of those with high blood pressure do not know they have the condition.  High blood pressure is a major cause of stroke.

Oral Health  - Your teeth are meant to last a lifetime.  Learn about taking care of your teeth, protecting them and keeping your teeth healthy.

Healthy Aging - Getting older does not equal poor health.  As you age, your body changes.  Learn about these changes and what you can do to stay healthy as you get older.

Heart Health - Heart disease is the leading cause of death and disability in the United States.  Almost 700,000 people die of heart disease in the U.S. each year.

Alcholol / Substance Abuse - Drinking alcohol is very common in our society, but drinking alcohol can be harmful.  In the US, nearly 20 million people use illegal drugs.  Find information on how much is too much, strategies to cut down and how to help and how to get help. 

Tobacco/Smoking - Tobacco use is the single most preventable cause of death in the US.  Smoking harms nearly every major organ in the body.  Tobacco smoke contains at  least 60 known cancer-causing substances.


Stress / Post Traumatic Stress Disorder - Stress is our body's reaction to an event or change and is part of every day life.  Even positive changes in our lives can result in stress.  Find information on how to handle and prevent stress. PTSD is an anxiety disorder. It can occur after you have been through a traumatic event.

Diabetes - Type 2 diabetes develops when the body does not properly use insulin.   In response, the pancreas produces more insulin.  Over time, the pancreas will not make enough insulin for the body's needs.  This results in increased amounts of glucose in the blood.

Depression - Depression is a real, treatable and common illness.  Depression affects how we think, how we feel and how we act.

Getting Vaccinated -Immunizations or vaccines protect you and those around you from infectious diseases.  Each year, more than 46,000 adults die or get ill from diseases that a vaccine prevents.  This includes the flu.
