Complaint Against a Household Goods Mover

  Print this page Print

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) only regulates interstate moves. There are two methods to file a complaint against a moving company with the FMCSA:

  • Use the complaint Web site [English] [Español]
  • Call toll free 1-888-DOT-SAFT (1-888-368-7238) from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM eastern time, Monday through Friday

Complaints regarding intrastate moves should be directed to the appropriate State regulating authority. The commission or department which regulates intrastate moves varies from State to State. Search for local contacts including the public utility commission, consumer protection office, and Attorney General.
