The National Women’s Health Week will be celebrated the week of May 10-16, 2009 beginning on Mother’s Day, May 10. This is a nationwide initiative, coordinated by the DHHS Office on Women's Health. This initiative encourages women to make their health a top priority and take simple steps for a longer, healthier and happier life. During the week, families, communities, businesses, government, health organizations and other groups work together to educate women about steps they can take to improve their physical and mental health and prevent disease. ORWH and NLM announce expansion of Women's Health Resources, a user friendly Web portal
This web portal pulls the latest scientific information on women’s health research and now includes videocasts, ORWH Pinn Point on Women's Health podcasts, RSS feeds for MEDLINE/PubMed abstracts, information on current health awareness programs and social media tools to allow users to share information and receive health alerts.
